A small school with a specific idea about how French should be taught.
Français Lingua Voyage teaches French online, one student at a time, to people who need the language for something real. A visa. A job. An exam with a date on it. A country they are about to live in.
We are not a marketplace and we are not an app. There is one instructor, a limited number of places, and a curriculum built on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages so that your progress means the same thing here as it does anywhere else in the world.
Notre histoire
Built to fix one problem.
Elizabeth Chuks studied French at Abia State University and then did what most French graduates in Nigeria do. She taught it in schools, to classes of children and teenagers, year after year.
Somewhere in the middle of that she noticed the same thing happening over and over. Students could conjugate. They could pass. They could not talk. The syllabus was being completed and the language was not being learned.
Français Lingua Voyage was built to fix that one problem. Small numbers, live conversation, real deadlines, and a teacher who knows your name and your weak points.
Elizabeth Chuks
Founder and French Instructor
Bachelor of Arts in French, Abia State University, Nigeria. Background in French language, translation and communication. More than two hundred and fifty students taught in Nigerian classrooms. Now teaching online, one to one, to students in Nigeria and abroad.
Full name: Elizabeth Oluomachi Chuks-Nwosu. She teaches as Elizabeth Chuks, which is the name used throughout this site.

Notre approche
Six things every lesson does.
You speak more than the teacher.
If Elizabeth is talking for most of the hour, you are paying to watch someone else practise.
Pronunciation from day one.
The French sounds that do not exist in English are fixed early, while the habit is still soft. Later is much harder.
Vocabulary you will actually use.
Words from your life, your job, your immigration file, your city. Not a list of farm animals.
Grammar as a tool, not a subject.
You learn a structure at the moment you need it to say something you want to say.
Correction that lands.
Mistakes are noted, explained once, and then drilled until they stop happening. Not corrected mid sentence until you are afraid to open your mouth.

Every programme maps to a CEFR level, so you always know where you stand and what the next step is.

To become a French language school that people in Africa and the diaspora trust with the outcomes that matter to them. Visas, jobs, exams, and the confidence to live part of their life in another language.

To teach French in a way that produces speakers. Personal, structured, tied to a real goal, and taught by someone who is accountable for whether it works.
We keep the school small on purpose.
Elizabeth teaches twenty four hours a week and every one of them is a live lesson with one student. That puts a hard ceiling on how many people can be enrolled at once. When places are full they are full. As the school grows, that ceiling moves by adding instructors, not by adding students to a class.
