Who this is for
You did French at school. You can read a menu, follow the gist, maybe write a short message. But you hesitate, you translate in your head first, and by the time the sentence is ready the conversation has moved on.
What you will be able to do
Hold a conversation about your life, work and opinions without rehearsing it first. Handle the past and the future confidently. Deal with an unexpected situation in French rather than switching to English. Understand native speakers talking normally to each other.
What is inside
- Past tenses, properly. Passé composé and imparfait, and knowing which one and why.
- The future and the conditional, so you can talk about plans and possibilities.
- Pronouns, which is where most people at this level actually get stuck.
- Connected speech, so that you can hear where one word ends and the next begins.
- Long form conversation practice, unscripted, on topics you choose.
How it runs
Live one to one classes online, two sessions a week. Recorded. Weekly speaking task, plus listening you do on your own.
An honest note
This is the level where progress feels slowest, because the gains are less visible than at A1. What changes is your reaction time. Most students notice it in month two, usually in a conversation they were not preparing for.
